Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest financial moves most people ever make. We spent decades on the legal side before we started running a real estate brokerage.

David has spent since 1989 practicing law in the Bronx, most of it helping people through the worst version of homeownership: foreclosure, debt, houses lost. That perspective changes how you look at a deal. It makes you careful about what a buyer can actually afford and honest about what a house is really worth.
Kyle handles the other end. Listings, marketing, showings, and getting your house in front of the right person. Between the two of them your file never leaves the family.
David J. Babel is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut and opens a law office in the Bronx. Over the next few decades he builds one of the borough's better known bankruptcy and debt practices, working with thousands of families on foreclosure, refinancing, and holding onto their homes.
Sixteen years into practicing law, David gets licensed as a real estate broker. He had already spent years watching how the housing side of a family's finances plays out, and he wanted to be in the room earlier, when there was still something to protect.
Babel Realty closes its first transaction. The model is set from the start: a small family firm where the legal experience and the brokerage sit under one roof, and clients aren't chasing two sets of people through the biggest purchase of their lives.
Kyle Babel joins the business and brings a marketing and entrepreneurial background to a firm built on decades of legal work. He takes over listings, day to day operations, and how clients find and reach the company.
Two offices, one in Pelham Gardens and one in Eastchester. Houses, condos, and co-ops throughout the Bronx and Westchester. When you call, you get a Babel.
